Juno Rose is an Afro-Carribean gender-nonconforming filmmaker, animator, and illustrator whose work explores the intersection of racial, sexual, and queer identity using surrealist imagery and absurdist perspectives. Rose graduated from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in May 2024, earning her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Animation. Since then, she has worked on multiple award-winning, festival-selected films, showcasing her work at a variety of east-coast venues such as the Plaza Theatre in Atlanta, The Carolina Theatre in Greensboro, The North Carolina Museum of Art, and many more with the help of the film collective she co-founded, Classroom 105. Currently, she continues her analysis of black and queer life with her newest project: End of the World, the first installation of which premieres at the Greensboro Project Space.
